The Gallery Gift Shop supports the LGBTIQ community by selling original art made by undiscovered LGBTIQ artists. Nestled on the crest of Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens, over-looking Daylesford, The Convent boasts expansive views of the countryside and township below. A feast for the senses, the gallery is more than a three level haven of fine art in an historic 19th century mansion. With its decadent retail areas, Mediterranean restaurant, relaxing Altar bar and lounge, restored chapel, nuns museum, penthouse apartment and two stunning glass fronted function spaces, all surrounded by six acres of stunning gardens.

The orchard is made up of 18 traditional cider varieties including, Bulmer’s Norman, Tremlits Bitter, Yarlington Mill, Stoke Red, Browns Snout, Improved Foxwhelp, Somerset Redstreak and the famous Kingston Black. The orchard now comprises more than 650 trees, all grown on Tatura trellis with drip irrigation. With the new plantings next year, the orchard will include more than 1,000 trees.

A little taste of Italy 10 minutes north of Daylesford....Originally built in the 1860s, Lavandula's 1860s sandstaone farm buildings sit in a beautiful open garden. From the café La Trattoria, the view of lavender fields, olive grove and a vineyard make it the truly relaxing location for a glass of local wine and an antipasto. You can play petanque, search for the farm animals, or sit and listen to the birdsong.

Big Shed wines are hand made using a traditional approach but with modern equipment and with minimum or no preservatives, avoiding the use of animal products.James Halliday gave Big Shed an excellent review and this assessment has been confirmed by the award of medals for many of our wines at many local wine shows. Our annual crush is around 15 tonnes.

Housed in an elegant Georgian bank building in the picturesque town of Daylesford, Paradise Bookshop is a rambling maze of a bookshop.
There are 14 rooms jam packed with new and second hand books, comics, magazines and ephemera, as well as second-hand records (33 rpm albums) compact discs and D.V.D’s.
We also have a range of educational toys and an interesting selection of fossils.

Each Mill Market centre is divided into 100 plus, 16 square metre stalls with stallholder’s rent including performing a four hour duty per week to maintain the centre. The stallholder’s four hours are rostered around the week allowing the centres to be adequately staffed. All sales are processed at the front counter with stallholder’s numbers written on their price tags, allowing clear and concise sales activity. At the end of the month, stallholders receive a cheque from the centre for their month’s sales.
